Job Eligibility
Educational qualification : Qualification:following are the posts and their qualification are given below.
1.Research Assistant Grade-I (General)-M.Sc.
2.Library Information Assistant-Degree (Library science)
3.Junior Hindi Translator-M.A.
4.Tracer-12th pass
5.Forester-12th pass
6.Forest Guard-10th pass
7.Artist grade-III-12th pass
Physical Standard
Men : i) Walk:25 Kms. in 4 hours. ii) Height : Minimum165 cms iii) Chest : 79 cm without expansion and 84 cm with expansion.
Women : i) Walk:14 Kms. in 4 hours. ii) Height : Minimum150 cms. iii) Chest : 74 cm without expansion and 79 cm with expansion
Age limit : Not less than 18 years or exceed ing 27 years.

Application fee: Candidates are required to pay non-refundable application fee for Rs.200/- (Rupees two hundred only) through bank Demand Draft drawn in favour of the ‘Accounts Officer, Forest Research Institute’ payable at Dehradun from any Nationalized bank. No other mode of payment of application fee is acceptable. Separate application should be submitted along with DD of Rs.200/- for each post, if a candidate wishes to apply for more than one post. The SC/ST/PH and all female candidates are exempted from the payment.
Selection process:The candidates will be placed o the basis of Test and Interview.

Established as Imperial Forest Research Institute in 1906, Forest Research Institute (FRI) Dehradun, is a premier institution under the Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education (ICFRE). Styled in Greeko Roman Architecture by C.G. Blomfield, the main building is a National Heritage which was inaugurated in 1929The Institute's history is vertually synonymous with the evolution and development of scientific forestry, not only in India, but over the entire Indian sub-continent. Set in a lush green estate spread over 450 hectares, with the outer Himalaya forming its back drop, the Institute's main building is an impressive edifice, marrying Greco-Roman and Colonial styles of architecture, with a plinth area of 2.5 equipped laboratories,library, herbarium, arboreta, printing press and experimental field areas for conducting forestry research, quite in keeping with the best of its kind anywhere in the world.
